When was the first time you realized that you wanted to work in videogames?
I was in middle school when I realized I wanted to learn about game design and development. It was always a dream of mine at that particular time to create games and not necessarily for money or other people, but as a way to express myself. I had this burning desire to bring my artwork to life and through games, it was about the closest thing to manifesting my imaginations into reality. It was during my time in middle school I had an overwhelming spark of ideas. I remember staying up all night over my friend Brandon Dawson's parents' house filling notebooks with videogame worlds and ideas. While in high school, I realized I wanted to start a career as a game designer.
I can still remember how excited I was to get my first 2d sprite drawing on the Xbox 360 after high school with the XNA dev kit. Then I started to get into 3d development and started an ambitous project to create my own engine and make a first-person-shooter as its template. My friend Kyle Wayne Nash witnessed my very first successful build of the template with me in my parents' basement playing games. It wasn't until later that I realized I needed to take a step back and start with something much smaller and simpler to be my first game to release.

Do you remember the first game you ever played?
Arcades were huge when I was much younger. I remember playing classic games like Galactica and Pac-Man. The first game I ever played on a console was Super Mario Bros. on the NES.
